Involvement/Advocacy

Our Call To Action community members are primarily from Catholic backgrounds who have a progressive vision of an inclusive community who try and live out the Gospel’s message that “yes, we are our sisters’ and brothers’ keepers”.

CTA offers a way to explore and celebrate our spirituality in a manner that tries to be non-patriarchal and nonsexist. We gather to think about just what our beliefs actually are and how they have been evolving. We recognize that spirituality is an integral part of who we are and we explore how it is present in our lives. We discuss the ways it calls us to act politically for peace and justice in our world, how our faith is (or could be) lived out every day.

Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America is a grassroots movement of Americans fighting for public safety measures that can protect people from gun violence. Moms Demand Action campaigns for new and stronger solutions to lax gun laws and loopholes that jeopardize the safety of our families.

Still Mountain Buddhist Meditation Center

Community of people interested in meditation and Buddhist teachings.

Washtenaw Literacy

Believing that literacy is the foundation for a sustainable community, Washtenaw Literacy provides literacy support, free of charge, to adults through a network of trained tutors. It is our vision to eliminate illiteracy in Washtenaw County.
